The Seminole County Republican Executive Committee will be hosting California Congressman Duncan Hunter at the organization’s annual Lincoln Day event, being held Friday, June 6 at 7 p.m. at the Lake Mary Marriott on International Parkway Historically the event draws a crowd of several hundred local Republican activists and leaders, as well as nearly every Republican elected official. Hunter, who is the chairman of the U.S. House Armed Services committee, will speak to the group about a variety of issues, including hisrole on the important committee, and our responsibility as citizens to ensure the county’s safety. Seminole County GOP Chairman Jim Stelling says, “every year we get together to remember the founders of our party at the Lincoln Day event. This year is special, though, because we are meeting on the anniversary of one of our greatest military triumphs. Blending the honoring ofour military, and the remembrance of the founders of the GOP will make for a special evening indeed. The strength of our military has helped our nation remain free, and the strong convictions of the current slate of conservative leaders will help ensure we remain so.” The public is invited to attend the event. Tickets are $150 perperson. For ticket information, please contact Judy Putzat 407.332.7928. |
